Brief

A Belgian luxury electronic picture frame company wanted to clearly communicate its “living gallery” technology to a new range of potential customers. This highly complex, cordless, state-of-the-art ink capsule mechanism needed to be explained concisely and clearly.

“Ionnyk’s vision is to change the way people experience
photography.”

Solution

I wrote an editorial feature that explained the technology, its applications and the international appeal of the product, quoting the CEO and co-founder. This piece had to balance the technical explanations necessary for the reader to understand the product, demonstrate what made the product unique and ensure that the copy was clear and engaging to read.

Result

Rather than position the feature solely from a technological angle or a design angle, it was advantageous to draw upon both of these provenances to communicate what was fundamentally different about this product. By successfully leveraging both design aesthetics and technical provenance, the feature established a distinct market positioning for the brand. The client received a premium advertorial asset that successfully connected their “Smart Experience” gallery ecosystem with an affluent target demographic interested in photography, interior architecture and fine arts.
